I flew AA from LHR to RDU and arrived at my connecting gate one hour before departure time. I took the seat closest to the podium. You never know. They needed one volunteer for a $250 voucher. My lightning speed getting to the gate agent was unnecessary. I was the only volunteer. They offered me an AA flight the next morning very early, vouchers for dinner and a hotel. That would have worked. They also offered me a US Airways flight leaving in fifty minutes.

On Friday evening I am scheduled to fly Air France from IAD (Dulles) to LHR with a connection at CDG. I have reserved a room at the Hilton Olympia Hotel. On Sunday at noon I am scheduled to fly Virgin Atlantic from LHR to IAD. My outbound flights are in coach. My return is in biz class. I will be traveling on a CO award ticket.

My last trip to San Francisco- for this month. Another cheap Delta ticket to ensure that I will achieve Stratosphere Status with Delta next year. I flew: DCA-ATL-SFO-JFK-DCA. I was complementarity upgraded on all mainline segments. All flights operated close to on time except the last which landed about 45 minutes late.

This was the last of my bargain trip from WAS to SFO to assure me Platinum status next year. Out and back the same day with connections at DFW in both directions. I used points to upgrade to first class on two segments: IAD-DFW and SFO-DFW.
