Flu shots in airports

While at SFO twice this weekend I noticed that they were giving seasonal flu shots inside security in the AA concourse. With Priority AAcess I should be able to grab a vaccination in almost no time at all. About six weeks ago I saw that flu shots were available inside security in the AA terminal at ORD. I will remember this next year as flu season approaches.

On Saturday morning I am scheduled to fly Delta from DCA to SFO with a connection at ATL. I will spend the night at the Four Points by Sheraton near the airport. On Sunday I am scheduled to fly from SFO to DCA with a connection at JFK, also on Delta. Come on upgrades.

I purchased a new car last Thursday: a 2010 Toyota Corolla. I don't like spending money - except for travel, of course. This is the car that the rising price of copper bought. We checked one bag on the way home yesterday. As we were being cleared through security in Las Vegas, this big, big TSA fellow came running up to us holding 2 unopened pepsi cans and telling us he opened our checked bag and took them out. He said we could have them but we would have to go back to the other side of security to drink them. I told him he could have them. There were 4 bottles of Boost that were left in the bag.

This was another of my cheap AA round trips from WAS to SFO ($141++). I flew from Dulles (IAD). I got a good rate at the Hampton Inn Burlingame just south of the airport.

We had a fantastic trip on Norwegian Pearl last week. We departed Miami on Saturday October 24 for Samaná, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Great Stirrup Cay, returning on October 31. The Pearl is gorgeous. Everything we saw on the ship was sparkling clean and looked brand new, and the crew was attentive and friendly. They always had a smile and a greeting for our 3-year-old daughter.

An era ended at United Airlines on 28 October as the carrier operated its last Boeing 737 passenger flight, more than 40 years after introducing the twinjet.

This was an award trip booked on NW while I was busy spending those Confederate dollars (I mean miles). Outbound in coach, DCA-DTW-LAX; return in biz/first class, LAX-ATL-DCA.
."Just relax Max. That's the rule". So sang Dinah Washington in the Double tree television ad.
I answered the siren's call and booked my room at the Doubletree Hotel, El Segundo, a couple of miles from LAX. I have stayed there before and I do like the place especially with a car....

Enhanced Driver's License Worthwhile in Addition to a Passport?

It's time for me to renew my driver's license again (it seems like I just did it) and I'm trying to decide whether it's worth the extra money ($45) and inconvenient (can't renew by mail) to opt for an enhanced license so I won't need to carry my passport when transiting Canada or traveling to other nearby neighbors (Mexico, Bermuda, Caribbean). Have any of you gotten one? If so, do you feel it was worth the effort? If not, why, and do you regret it?
