Doing things the old fashioned-way when it comes to paying bills is not without merit. Just got two new AAdvantage Citi MasterCards in the mail to replace our current ones. Turns out yet another merchant's database has been compromised and we're issued new cards and Mastercard numbers. This is the second time this has happened in the last couple of years.

No big deal - except for the fact that all the autopay accounts referencing the old cards have to be changed. The first time this happened Mastercard switched off the account before we had the chance to change the autopay records and we got a bunch of nasty-grams from various vendors complaining that our card had been declined.
