Need to take a trip to the Dry Counties of Texas, Oklahoma.

Many restaurants allow BYOB because they cannot sell booze in the county. (Thankfully most of these outdated laws have now gone by the wayside)

I remember living in Texas in the 1980's and even the fanciest restaurants would sell "set-ups" with your meal. The "set-ups" would be an empty wine glass, highball glass with Ice, or Seven-UP with Ice. Price was usually $7.95. (in the '80's!!) You could then add the beverage of your choice that you brought with you. The bottle could not remain on the table but was usually found in a brown paper bag on the floor.
