On Friday evening I am scheduled to fly AA from DCA to LHR with a connection at ORD. I have reserved a room at the Sheraton Skyline. On Sunday morning I am
scheduled to fly from LHR to DCA with a connection at ORD. My first time in London over the Fourth of July.
Known flight risk.

I need to check my calendar, but I believe I'm supposed to be in Boston on Tuesday. This'll be a day trip; some Terminal B photography might be in
order should the sun cooperate, but I seriously doubt it will.

Don't some of the locals there call it "Good Riddance Day"?

On Thursday, mid-afternoon, we head to CT to visit K Son for the weekend. Last week he broke his right hand pinkie and is having surgery on it on Tuesday, so
our planned trip is good timing. We figured we'd visit him and some friends rather than have him drive down to VA. We'll come back on Monday, taking
the extra day to travel.

Oh man, I don't envy you driving DC-Connecticut on a summer holiday weekend. Not good. Have you considered the "inland route" via Gettysburg, up
through Harrisburg to I-81, then on I-78/I-287/Saw Mill Parkway/I-684/I-84? It's substantially longer but I wouldn't want to be anywhere near the NJ
Turnpike this weekend, or even Thursday/Monday.

JohnJ - I thought about it. We'll be in NJ about 4 PM Thurs. I usually take I-295 instead of the NJ Turnpike until north of Philly, then cut over to the
NJ Turnpike. We're going early enough that we may not hit too much traffic. If the GW is bad, I'll head to the NY Turnpike and then up to I-84 into
CT. We're staying in Meriden at the new Quality Inn on 15, just north of I-691.

I believe July 4 is the day that the Americans handed England back to Europe.

Going to go 'Cowboy' for about 10 days starting Friday --

It's Calgary Stampede time (3 - 12 July 2009) http://cs.calgarystampede.com/

I have family coming for a few days at the beginning, friends coming for a few days at the end and then more family coming for a couple days after it's
all over ~ right now I'm gathering up Pancake Breakfast and BBQ Lunch and Dinner invitations to get through without cooking.
